The ghost represents the temporary state of a person who is missing something substantial and who no longer appears to be whole: From absolute lethargy to paralyzing fear, repression, more or less successful coping strategies, bitterly evil thoughts or going to psychotherapy. And then, eventually, he vanished again. Take a deep breath until his next visit.
